About the Role
As an Air Interdiction Agent (AIA), you will join a rewarding career in aviation-based law enforcement. This role is designed for skilled pilots seeking a dynamic environment where they can utilize their expertise to support critical national security missions. You will perform air patrol, surveillance, and pursuit activities, monitoring suspect behavior and analyzing strategic intelligence to safeguard the nation's borders.
The day-to-day life of an AIA involves high-stakes operations, including the interdiction of smuggled goods via land, air, or sea, as well as supporting search and rescue and humanitarian efforts. U.S. Customs and Border Protection is looking for candidates who meet the following requirements: U.S. Citizenship; Primary U.S. residency for 3 of last 5 years; Age 40 or under (or eligible for age waiver); FAA Commercial or ATP Pilot Certification with specific ratings; FAA Class 2 medical (or Class 1/Military) dated within 12 months; and 1500 total flight hours (waiver to 1000 possible).
