This role offers the opportunity to work with a skilled team of pilots and law enforcement officers, conducting air patrols, surveillance, and pursuit activities against smuggled goods via land, air, or sea. You will also play a critical role in monitoring suspect activities, analyzing strategic intelligence, and supporting search and rescue and humanitarian efforts.
AMO offers a streamlined application process for full-time security-based opportunities. There are three primary ways to apply:
Stay Updated: It is highly recommended to opt into CBP's talent repository by selecting the Contact a Recruiter button. Choose Air and Marine Operations and Air Interdiction Agent as your position of interest to receive monthly updates on webinars, career expos, and future opportunities.
Successful candidates will undergo a three-part assessment. A duty location will be offered after this assessment, based on operational and mission requirements. You must be willing to work at any duty location within the region you select, which may include the Southeast Region, Southwest Region, Caribbean Air and Marine Branch (CAMB), or National Air Security Operation Centers (NASOC) UAS locations.
We are an equal opportunity employer and consider qualified applicants regardless of background. We actively seek seasoned pilots and those with military training to join our ranks. Note that while the standard maximum age for original appointment to a primary law enforcement officer within DHS is 37, the Commissioner of CBP has approved a temporary increase to age 40 for this specific Air Interdiction Agent position.
