As an Air Interdiction Agent (AIA), you will serve as a skilled pilot within a law enforcement framework, performing aviation-based operations to secure the nation's borders. You will be part of a culture where day-to-day operations involve conducting air patrols, surveillance, and pursuit activities against smuggled contraband via land, air, or sea. Successful candidates will undergo a three-part assessment to determine their suitability for the role. Upon completion, a duty location will be offered based on operational and mission requirements. You must be willing to work at any location within the selected region, including the Southeast, Southwest, Caribbean Air and Marine Branch (CAMB), or National Air Security Operation Centers (NASOC) UAS locations.

Note on Age Requirements: While the standard maximum age for initial appointment to a primary law enforcement officer within DHS is the day before an individual's 37th birthday, the Commissioner of CBP has approved a temporary increase to age 40 for original placement into an Air Interdiction Agent position. Veterans entitled to preference eligibility are exempt from this maximum age restriction.
