About the Role
As an Air Interdiction Agent (AIA), you will serve as a skilled pilot within a law enforcement framework, performing aviation-based operations to secure the nation's borders. This role is designed for experienced pilots seeking an exciting and rewarding career that combines professional flying with critical national security duties.
You will be part of a culture where day-to-day operations involve conducting air patrols, surveillance, and pursuit activities against smuggled contraband via land, air, or sea. Your work will require monitoring suspect behavior, analyzing strategic intelligence, and supporting search and rescue efforts. Note on Age Requirements: While the standard maximum age for initial appointment to a primary law enforcement officer within DHS is the day before an individual's 37th birthday, the Commissioner of CBP has approved a temporary increase to age 40 for original placement into an Air Interdiction Agent position. Veterans entitled to preference eligibility are exempt from this maximum age restriction.
