Air and Marine Operations (AMO), a component of U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), brings together an elite team of highly trained professionals. As an Air Interdiction Agent (AIA), you will perform aviation-based law enforcement operations focused on the detection, prevention, interdiction, and apprehension of terrorists, weapons, and contraband attempting to illegally enter or attack the United States. This is a security-based, full-time career designed for those seeking an exciting and rewarding path with exceptional federal benefits and job stability.
You will join a dynamic environment where seasoned pilots and those with military training are in high demand. Your day-to-day will involve conducting air patrols, surveillance, and pursuit activities to intercept smuggled goods via land, air, or sea. You will monitor suspect behavior, analyze strategic and tactical intelligence, and support search and rescue and humanitarian efforts. The role requires the ability to evaluate information rapidly and make judicious decisions during in-flight operations across all environments, including night, poor weather, and low altitudes.

Successful candidates will undergo a three-part assessment. A duty location will be offered after this assessment, based on operational and mission requirements. You must be willing to work at any duty location within the region you select, which may include the Southeast Region, Southwest Region, Caribbean Air and Marine Branch (CAMB), or National Air Security Operation Centers (NASOC) UAS locations.
