As an Air Interdiction Agent (AIA), you will serve as a skilled pilot and law enforcement officer, performing aviation-based operations to secure the nation's borders. This is a unique career path that blends high-performance aviation with federal law enforcement duties. You will conduct air patrols, surveillance, and pursuit activities targeting smuggled contraband via land, air, or sea. Your day-to-day involves monitoring suspect behavior, analyzing strategic intelligence, and supporting search and rescue and humanitarian efforts.

You will work as part of a security-based team, ready to deploy to various duty locations across the Southeast, Southwest, and Caribbean regions based on operational and mission requirements.

Candidates who apply with fewer than 1,500 flight hours may need to obtain additional hours at their own expense before attending the assessment. Successful candidates will undergo a three-part assessment. Upon completion, a duty location will be offered from the Southwest Border Region, Southeast Border Region, Caribbean Air and Marine Branch (CAMB), or National Air Security Operation Centers (NASOC) UAS locations. You must be willing to work at any location within the selected region.
