About the Role
As an Air Interdiction Agent (AIA), you will join a rewarding career in aviation-based law enforcement. This role is designed for skilled pilots seeking to apply their expertise in a high-stakes environment where your daily work directly impacts national security. You will partner with a diverse team to conduct air patrols, surveillance, and pursuit activities against smuggled contraband via land, air, and sea. Your day-to-day responsibilities include monitoring suspect behavior patterns, analyzing strategic intelligence, and supporting search and rescue and humanitarian efforts.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection is looking for candidates who meet the following requirements: U.S. Citizen; Primary U.S. residency for 3 of last 5 years; Age 40 or younger (or veterans preference eligible); FAA Commercial or ATP Pilot Certification with specific ratings; FAA Class 2 medical (or Class 1/Military) dated within 12 months; and 1500 total flight hours (waiver to 1000 possible).
