As an Air Interdiction Agent (AIA), you will join a rewarding career in aviation-based law enforcement. This role is designed for skilled pilots seeking to apply their expertise in a high-stakes environment. You will perform critical duties including air patrol, surveillance, and pursuit activities to intercept smuggled goods via land, air, or sea. Your day-to-day involves monitoring suspect behavior, analyzing strategic intelligence, and supporting search and rescue and humanitarian efforts.

Duty locations are assigned based on operational requirements, mission needs, and critical agency hiring needs. Successful candidates must be willing to work at any location within their selected region, which may include:
A specific duty location will be offered after successfully completing a three-part assessment. The final offer letter may include any geographic location within the Southwest Border Region, Southeast Border Region, Caribbean Air and Marine Branch (CAMB), or National Air Security Operation Centers (NASOC) Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS) locations.
We are an equal opportunity employer. Provisions of Public Laws 93-350 and 100-238 allow for the imposition of a maximum age for initial appointment to a primary Law Enforcement Officer position within the Department of Homeland Security. However, the Commissioner of CBP has approved a temporary increase in the maximum allowable age to 40 for original placement into an Air Interdiction Agent position. Veterans' preference eligibility may also affect age requirements in accordance with federal statutes.
