Air and Marine Operations (AMO), a component of U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), is an elite team of highly trained professionals dedicated to protecting America. Our mission is defined by camaraderie, pride, and a shared purpose to detect, prevent, and interdict terrorists, weapons, and contraband from illegally entering the United States. We offer skilled pilots an opportunity to join a law enforcement career that combines aviation expertise with national security.
As an Air Interdiction Agent (AIA), you will serve as a critical asset in aviation-based law enforcement operations. This role is designed for experienced pilots who want to apply their skills in a dynamic, high-stakes environment. Your day-to-day responsibilities involve conducting air patrols, surveillance, and pursuit activities to intercept smuggled goods via land, air, or sea. You will monitor suspect behavior, analyze strategic intelligence, and support search and rescue and humanitarian efforts.
This is a full-time, security-based position offering exceptional federal benefits, job stability, and a streamlined application process. We actively seek seasoned pilots and those with military training to join our ranks. Successful candidates will be assigned to duty locations based on operational and mission requirements within the Southeast, Southwest, or NASOC UAS regions, including locations in Florida, Puerto Rico, Arizona, California, Texas, and North Dakota.
The recruitment process for Air Interdiction Agents involves a three-part assessment. Once you successfully complete this assessment, a duty location will be offered within your selected region. The final offer letter will specify the geographic location, which may include any site within the Southwest Border Region, Southeast Border Region, Caribbean Air and Marine Branch (CAMB), or National Air Security Operation Centers (NASOC).
