The AI Innovation & Internal Tools Engineering Intern will support Alpha Omega's internal innovation initiatives focused on building enterprise AI capabilities and intelligent automation tools. This internship provides hands-on experience designing and developing AI-powered systems that improve internal operations, knowledge management, and proposal development processes.
You will work closely with engineering and innovation teams to develop internal AI applications such as chatbots, knowledge retrieval systems, and automation tools that integrate with enterprise platforms like SharePoint and internal data systems. These solutions will help reduce manual effort, improve information access, and strengthen Alpha Omega's internal innovation platform. This role is designed to build the company's future talent pipeline for emerging roles in AI engineering, automation engineering, and internal platform development.
During this internship, you will gain hands-on experience developing enterprise AI solutions, working with modern LLM architectures, RAG systems, and AI development frameworks. You will learn how AI platforms integrate with enterprise knowledge systems and APIs while contributing to real internal tools used by engineering, program management, and proposal teams. Successful interns may transition into future roles such as AI Engineer, Automation Engineer, or Internal Tools Engineer, supporting both internal innovation initiatives and customer-facing AI and automation solutions across federal programs.
