As an AEL Part-Time Instructor at Irving ISD, you will oversee the delivery of instruction for adult learners within our State and Federal Programs. This role is designed to empower students through holistic, learner-centered education, guiding them through Adult Basic Education (ABE), ESL, GED preparation, and workforce transition pathways.
You will serve as a vital link between students and their future goals, facilitating presentations on career planning, internship placements, and college admissions. The position requires a dynamic educator who can adapt to diverse learning needs, manage classroom dynamics, and ensure compliance with strict federal grant performance targets. Whether teaching in a classroom or supporting students with scheduling conflicts, your mission is to foster an environment of dignity, respect, and academic growth.
You will report to the Program Manager within the State and Federal Programs department. This team is dedicated to maintaining high attendance and meeting state and federal performance goals for adult education. Your work directly impacts the success of linguistically and culturally diverse constituencies, helping them navigate complex systems from enrollment to employment or higher education.
