We are seeking an Advisor – People Operations to partner with DEFENCE Business leaders. Initially, you will report to the Defence POM for a six-month period before transitioning to the People Services Manager. This position offers location flexibility, allowing you to be based in Brisbane, Sydney, or Canberra.
You will play a key part in delivering core people initiatives across the employee lifecycle, with a strong focus on employee relations, industrial relations, performance management, talent processes, and organisational capability. Your day-to-day involves ensuring enquiries and cases are handled efficiently, accurately, and consistently while displaying excellent customer service. You will provide timely, pragmatic HR advice to leaders and team members on performance management, workplace conduct, and employee concerns, supporting leaders through performance discussions and coaching on approach, process, and outcomes.
The successful candidate must be an Australian Citizen and eligible to obtain a Baseline AGSVA security clearance. You will thrive in a fast-paced environment where you manage workloads and meet deadlines while effectively communicating both verbally and in writing across a diverse audience. The role requires someone who can inspire teamwork and provide approachable customer service to all stakeholders.
