About the Role
We are seeking a full-time Advanced Practice Provider (NP or PA) to join our inpatient Psychiatric Services Department. In this role, you will provide comprehensive medical care and treatment under the supervision of a team of on-site board-certified psychiatrists. Your responsibilities will encompass psychiatric treatment, psychotherapy sessions, group therapy, medication management, family therapy, support group meetings, and relapse prevention.
You will work closely with the Medical Director of Psychiatric Services to deliver care to patients with major mental illness. Additionally, you will provide psychiatric consultative services to medical/surgical inpatients and the Emergency Department. The position operates Monday through Friday with no on-call requirement, and the typical patient load is capped at eight patients per day.
Rutland Regional Psychiatric Services has recently launched a Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) program. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to become certified in this innovative treatment option.

Rutland Regional Medical Center is looking for candidates who meet the following requirements: Masters Degree in Nursing or Graduate of an American Medical Association approved Physician Assistant educational program; 2 years of Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant experience in specialty area; Licensed with the Vermont Office of Professional Regulation with advanced certification by a national certifying organization recognized by the Vermont Nursing Board's scope of practice; Licensed by the Vermont Medical Board with certification by a national certifying organization recognized by the Vermont Medical Board for scope of practice; Completion of endorsed patient/visitor de-escalation and restraint program certification; and Microsoft Office desktop application and navigation skills.
