At Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute (FCS), we believe our people are our strength. Since 1984, we have built a national reputation for excellence, utilizing innovative clinical research, cutting-edge technologies, and advanced treatments to provide world-class cancer care. We are recognized by the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) with a national Clinical Trials Participation Award, offering patients access to more clinical trials than any private oncology practice in Florida.
Through our partnership with Sarah Cannon, FCS is one of the largest clinical research organizations in the United States, often leading the nation in initiating research studies and offering ground-breaking new therapies to patients in a community setting.
The Admixture Tech II serves as a vital link in our patient care ecosystem, performing complex technical functions to prepare hazardous and non-hazardous agents under the supervision of a dispensing practitioner. This role requires a deep understanding of sterile product preparation, biological safety cabinets, and the specific precautions needed when handling antineoplastic and cytotoxic agents.
Beyond technical preparation, you will act as a liaison between physicians, nursing, pharmacy operations, financial counselors, and procurement to ensure the timely availability of special order medications. You will maintain high productivity while remaining sensitive to the total patient care experience, managing inventory, and ensuring the integrity of clinical supplies. As a float technician, you may be required to travel between clinics to meet operational needs, ensuring seamless support across our network.
Our culture is driven by four core values that guide every action we take:
Safeguarding our patients and each other is paramount. All offers of employment are contingent upon clear results of a thorough background screening. As a condition of employment, new hires must receive various vaccinations (including the influenza vaccine, barring an approved exemption) and are subject to drug and nicotine testing. FCS is a drug-free workplace, and medical marijuana cards are not recognized.
We expect all employees to conduct themselves in a professional and respectful manner, complying with all labor laws and workplace policies. Any concerns regarding harassment, discrimination, or improprieties should be brought to management or Human Resources immediately.
FCS is an EEO/Affirmative Action Employer committed to helping individuals with disabilities participate in the workforce. We do not discriminate on the basis of age, race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, protected veteran status, disability, or any other legally protected status.
