Adjunct Faculty (French)

About the Role

This Instructor position is dedicated to coordinating, planning, and delivering high-quality instruction across a variety of formats, including face-to-face, hybrid, online, and remote settings. Classes may be held at any Prince George's Community College campus, with opportunities for day, evening, and weekend schedules.

The role exists to foster an inclusive learning environment where diverse student needs are met through adaptable teaching strategies. Instructors are expected to remain current in their discipline, continuously exploring new methods to engage learners. A key part of the day-to-day mission involves organizing instructional content that accommodates different learning styles and devising assessment tools that effectively monitor student learning outcomes.

Beyond the classroom, this position involves active participation in professional development, academic advising, and curriculum design. The ideal candidate will demonstrate mastery of course content and the ability to provide service to diverse populations using a student-centered approach. Success in this role requires strong critical thinking, organizational, and conflict management skills, along with the ability to effectively utilize instructional technology such as learning management systems and videoconferencing tools.
