About the Role
The Manager of Accounting and External Reporting serves as a strategic partner in driving the monthly accounting close process and resolving complex technical accounting positions. This role is pivotal in managing external reporting disclosures, overseeing the implementation of process change projects, and leading initiatives to improve closing efficiencies. You will act as the primary liaison between the company and external auditors (both US and international), interpreting company policy for Corporate and Regional teams while managing system implementation efforts for new accounting guidance.
Day-to-day, you will oversee critical month-end closing processes including pensions, intangibles, investments, equity, leases, and debt. The position requires a deep understanding of internal control frameworks and the ability to present the company's position on various accounting treatments to external stakeholders. You will also play a key role in preparing and reviewing sections of the Company's SEC reports and disclosures, ensuring accuracy and compliance with US GAAP standards.

Requirements
