About the Role
The Accounting Manager serves as a pivotal leader within the Finance department, reporting directly to the Director of Finance. Based onsite in Wendell, NC, this role is responsible for the day-to-day oversight of the Accounting team and acts as a strategic partner to multiple departments across the organization.
In this position, you will ensure the integrity of financial operations while fostering professional development within your team. The role requires close collaboration with various departments to support business initiatives and provide actionable financial insights. You will play a key part in the company's financial health by managing critical functions such as Accounts Payable, Inventory, Sales Programming, and General Ledger operations, while also preparing consolidated financial statements and forecasts to guide business decisions.

Key Responsibilities
- check_circleManage day-to-day accounting operations including accounts payable, inventory, sales programming, and general ledger functions
- check_circlePrepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated financial statements and parent company reports
- check_circleMonitor cash flow and prepare cash forecasts to support business decisions
- check_circleAssist with the company budgeting and forecasting process
- check_circleCoordinate and support annual financial reviews, audits, and tax preparations with external auditors
- check_circleProvide leadership and mentorship to the accounting team to foster professional development
- check_circleCollaborate with other departments to support business initiatives and provide financial insights
- check_circlePrepare budget-to-actual reports and other ad-hoc reports as required
- check_circleEnsure compliance with all applicable regulations and accounting standards such as GAAP
Requirements
- verified5-10 years of experience in accounting
- verifiedBachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- verifiedCPA preferred
- verifiedThorough understanding of GAAP
- verifiedExperience utilizing SAP or Salesforce preferred
- verifiedAdvanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- verifiedProven Supervisory experience
