About the Role
The Access Monitor is a critical guardian of vital government areas, entrusted with ensuring the sanctity and security of these facilities. This role operates on two distinct levels of responsibility, requiring meticulous adherence to access protocols and the ability to respond proactively to security hazards. Whether managing entry points or leading a team, the Access Monitor serves as the first line of defense, collaborating closely with law enforcement agencies—including Military Police, County Sheriff's Departments, and City Police—to maintain a fortress of safety.
Day in the Life
Your day involves maintaining rigorous control over all access points according to established procedures. You will actively detect, deter, and report a wide range of threats, from intrusions and suspicious activities to civil disorders and fire hazards. In teams with multiple monitors, one individual will assume a leadership mantle, steering the group effectively. A key part of your mission is to seamlessly coordinate with emergency response teams and aid emergency services within contractual limits, ensuring timely intervention when incidents occur.
Hiring Process & Requirements
Candidates must be U.S. Citizens with a valid Driver's License and a High School Diploma or equivalent. This position is subject to a U.S. Government Security Investigation, and incumbents must possess a final SECRET security clearance; select candidates may require Top Secret or TS/SCI eligibility. As a condition of employment, all successful candidates must pass a pre-employment drug screening and provide acceptable reference and background check results.
