About the Role
As a City Year AmeriCorps Member, you will serve as a student success coach and mentor for elementary, middle, and/or high school students. This is a paid, full-time entry-level position designed for individuals ready to build themselves, give back, and help change the world.
Your service will focus on coaching and mentoring students to achieve academic success, improve attendance, and develop positive behaviors. You will plan and monitor individual student progress while collaborating with teachers on whole-class instruction, breakout spaces, and in-class assistance. While experience in these specific tasks is not required, you will receive 2-4 weeks of training at the beginning of the year and work closely with partner teachers and school staff every step of the way.
