City Year is an AmeriCorps program dedicated to helping students across schools succeed. Our teams of AmeriCorps members provide comprehensive support to students, classrooms, and the entire school community. Our mission is to ensure that students receive a high-quality education that equips them with the skills and mindset necessary to thrive and contribute meaningfully to their communities.
As a City Year AmeriCorps Member, you will serve as a student success coach and mentor for elementary, middle, and/or high school students. This is a paid, full-time entry-level position designed for individuals who want to build themselves, give back, and help change the world.
Your service will focus on coaching and mentoring to help students achieve academic success, improve attendance, and develop positive behaviors. You will plan and monitor individual student progress while collaborating with teachers on whole-class instruction, breakout spaces, and in-class assistance. While experience in these specific tasks is not required, you will receive 2-4 weeks of training at the beginning of the year and work closely with partner teachers and school staff every step of the way.
To apply, visit joincityyear.force.com and submit your completed application online. For additional information on the application process, please visit cityyear.org. You can also visit our website for more details about this role.
City Year AmeriCorps members are as varied as the communities we serve. We are looking for passionate individuals ready to commit to a year of service that fosters personal growth and community impact.
