City Year is an AmeriCorps program dedicated to helping students across schools succeed. Our teams of AmeriCorps members provide comprehensive support to students, classrooms, and the entire school community. Our mission is to ensure that students receive a high-quality education that equips them with the skills and mindset necessary to thrive and contribute to their communities.
As a Student Success Coach and Mentor, your service will focus on coaching and mentoring elementary, middle, and/or high school students. You will play a vital role in helping students achieve academic success, improve their attendance, and develop positive behaviors at school.
This is an entry-level, paid, full-time position designed for those ready to build themselves, give back, and change the world. While experience in these specific tasks is not required, you will receive 2-4 weeks of training at the beginning of the year to prepare you for the role. You will work closely with partner teachers and school staff every step of the way to plan and monitor individual student progress, support whole-class instruction, and create engaging, safe, and healthy classroom environments.
