About the Role
As a Secondary Teacher, you will serve as a vital member of our campus community, dedicated to fostering academic growth and personal development for every student. Day in the Life
Your day begins with thorough preparation, utilizing appropriate materials and technological aids to bring lessons to life. You will guide students through a structured course of study, assigning lessons and providing constructive feedback on their work. Beyond the curriculum, you will manage classroom behavior, maintain accurate records of attendance and grades, and communicate regularly with parents to set and achieve academic goals. You will also direct instructional assistants and ensure compliance with school policies and state regulations.
Hiring Process
Candidates must hold a valid Tennessee teaching license with the applicable endorsement for the assigned subject area. The selection process focuses on demonstrated competency in the core academic subject, knowledge of curriculum and instruction, and the ability to effectively instruct and manage students. Experience in student teaching, approved internships, or related work is highly valued.
