Washington Middle School is seeking a dedicated 6th Grade Volleyball Coach to lead our student-athletes during the upcoming season. This role is designed to foster teamwork, sportsmanship, and physical fitness among our 6th-grade students in a supportive and energetic environment.
As the coach, you will guide the team through the season from August through October. Your primary focus will be on teaching the fundamentals of volleyball, organizing effective practices, and managing game-day logistics. This position offers a unique opportunity to work directly with young athletes, helping them build confidence and skills in a collaborative team setting.
The role is active from August 10, 2026, to October 9, 2026. Commitments primarily consist of after-school practices and games, allowing you to engage with students outside of regular classroom hours.
To be successful in this role, candidates must hold an Illinois Teaching License or ASEP Certification. While prior coaching experience and specific knowledge of volleyball are desired, the most essential trait is the ability to work well within a team environment. We value educators and mentors who are passionate about student development and community engagement.
