As the Manager of 2nd Shift Operations, you will lead a critical team in our Atlanta warehouse, ensuring optimum service levels and operational efficiency. This role exists to foster the MSC culture, maintain unity of purpose, and drive continuous improvement across multiple departments. You will manage daily workflows, oversee service levels to ensure timely truck departures, and collaborate with Facilities Management to address maintenance issues efficiently.
Your day will involve conducting meetings with the supervisory team to foster communication, analyzing Goods-In and Goods-Out procedures to identify improvement opportunities, and sharing best practices with other distribution centers. You will also play a key role in safety by implementing the Safety Culture, developing local leadership goals regarding safety metrics, and ensuring all security and equipment safety compliance standards are met. Additionally, you will assist with budget processes, monitor operational costs, and manage the hiring, development, and performance of your associates.
