As a Teacher in the Midland Independent School District, you will serve as a vital catalyst for student growth, fostering intellectual, emotional, physical, and social development. Your mission is to provide learning experiences that enable students to develop the competencies and skills necessary to function successfully in society. You will act as a positive role model, upholding the district's mission while creating a classroom environment conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interests of your students.
Your work extends beyond the classroom walls, encompassing a collaborative effort to build a common vision for school improvement. You will partner with colleagues to plan and implement instructional goals, utilizing a variety of techniques and media to meet diverse student needs. From analyzing study habits to maintaining open lines of communication with parents and the community, your role is dynamic and integral to the school's climate. You will also participate in faculty meetings, serve on committees, and engage in professional development to ensure continuous improvement in your practice.
