About the Role

This position is designed for experienced drivers who can seamlessly function as part of a team while effectively operating independently. The core mission of this role is to ensure the safe and timely delivery of assigned loads to final destinations, maintaining the high standards of customer service that define Specs Family Partners.

You will be the face of the company on the road, building strong professional relationships with customers and providing superb service at every stop. The role requires a self-starter with a strong work ethic who can manage stress in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks effectively, and maintain a neat, orderly vehicle. Whether handling inventory discrepancies, verifying payments, or assisting with unloading, your attention to detail and commitment to safety are vital to our operations.

Work Environment

We strive to provide a fun and positive environment for our staff. The role involves driving in all types of weather conditions, often in moderate to loud noise levels. The physical nature of the job includes standing, walking, bending, and using industrial machinery to move pallets weighing up to 2,400 pounds. You must be capable of lifting and moving up to 50 pounds regularly, and occasionally up to 100 pounds with proper tools.

Hiring Process & Eligibility

To be eligible for this position, you must be at least 21 years of age. A valid driver's license is required; specifically, a Texas driver's license must be obtained to maintain eligibility to drive on behalf of Specs, as required by our insurance provider. If you are a new resident of Texas, you must obtain a Texas license within 90 days of residing in the state. You may also need to obtain a Motor Vehicle Report from your state of issuance if that state does not provide MVRs to third parties.

We are looking for individuals who can read, comprehend, and write simple instructions, and who possess the ability to communicate effectively with coworkers and guests. While bilingual skills are a plus, they are not required. A high school diploma or GED is preferred, though relevant experience is highly valued.

Schedule

This is a full-time or part-time role (up to 25 hours) that cannot be performed remotely. Full-time employees typically work 40 hours per week. Flexibility is key: you must be available to work any shift on Friday or Saturday and must be available for 80% or more of all scheduled shifts each week. Working outside of your scheduled time without Store Manager approval is prohibited.
