About the Role
Ladgov Corporation is seeking a professional, experienced Youth Sports Official to support the delivery of high-quality, organized youth sports programs across Joint Base San Antonio (JBSA) Randolph, JBSA Lackland, and JBSA Fort Sam Houston. This role is vital to ensuring safe, fair, and enjoyable athletic experiences for youth athletes aged 5–18.
As an Official, you will be the on-field authority, responsible for interpreting and applying sports rules while maintaining control during heated or tense situations. Your day-to-day involves arriving 15 minutes prior to game time in proper uniform to conduct pre-game meetings, verify field safety, and ensure equipment standards are met. You will officiate a variety of sports including baseball, softball, soccer, basketball, volleyball, kickball, and flag football, enforcing game rules and JBSA Youth Sports By-Laws without deviation.
Work Environment
This position is located in San Antonio, Texas. The schedule is variable and dynamic, requiring availability for evenings, weekends, and Federal holidays based on the game schedule. Success in this role requires the ability to resolve disputes calmly and report any injuries, misconduct, ejections, or protest incidents by the next duty day.
Certification Requirements
Candidates must be properly trained and certified to officiate in the applicable sport(s). Specific training documentation and certifications must be submitted before each season. Preferred certifications include:
- Basketball: NCAA or NFHS Rules Certification
- Soccer: FIFA/IFAB Rules Knowledge
- Softball/Baseball: ASA, Little League, or USSSA Certification
- Volleyball: USVA or NIRSA Rules Familiarity
- Flag Football & Kickball: NIRSA Rulebook Proficiency
Application Instructions
Interested candidates should submit their training documentation and certifications along with their application. Demonstrated experience officiating youth or intramural sports, with a preference for multi-sport officiating, is required.
