About the Role
The Worksite Benefits Consultant is a strategic leader focused on new business development within the niche markets of educators, state agencies, and first responders. Reporting to the Worksite Sr Benefit Executive, you will consult with agents to help them develop strong, successful agencies, increase revenue, and contribute to long-term, profitable company growth.
In this role, you will be the bridge between Horace Mann's value proposition and the field. You will teach and strengthen the understanding of our repeatable sales process, facilitating workshops and seminars directly in school buildings. Your day-to-day involves actively recruiting and onboarding new agents, coaching them on sales techniques, and managing the pipeline. You will influence key decision-makers, connect agents with the right internal resources to address local challenges, and drive growth by convincing agents to invest ahead of the curve.
This position requires a high level of autonomy and mobility, with travel expected to be 50-70% of the time to ensure continued access and sales success across the region.
