About the Role

FedEx is seeking dedicated Warehouse Workers and Package Handlers to join our team in a fast-paced warehouse environment. This role is essential to our operations, ensuring that packages are processed accurately and on time. As a Package Handler, you will be responsible for the physical movement and sorting of goods, playing a critical part in the logistics chain that delivers products to customers worldwide.

Day in the Life

In this position, you will engage in a variety of physical tasks designed to keep our operations running smoothly. Your day may involve unloading packages from trailers and delivery vehicles, sorting items by destination using conveyor belt systems, and scanning packages into our advanced tracking system. You will also be responsible for loading packages into delivery trucks, ensuring that every item is handled safely and efficiently according to company procedures.

Work Environment and Expectations

We operate in a dynamic, high-energy environment where speed and safety are paramount. Employees are expected to work quickly while strictly adhering to FedEx safety policies and package handling procedures. You will be required to meet hourly sorting and loading quotas, ensuring that productivity standards are maintained without compromising safety. Depending on operational needs, you may be assigned to specific roles such as loading, unloading, sorting, or scanning.

Compensation and Incentives

This position typically pays $17 to $22 per hour. In addition to base pay, we offer various incentives to reward dedication and flexibility, including overtime pay, shift differential pay for overnight or early morning shifts, attendance bonuses, and peak season incentives. Some locations also provide weekly attendance bonuses and additional shift differential pay for overnight shifts.
