About the Role
Family Dollar is seeking dedicated Warehouse Workers to join our distribution center team. In this role, you will play a vital part in the logistics chain by assisting with receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping merchandise. You will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient work environment within a fast-paced distribution center setting.
Day in the Life
Your day will involve a variety of tasks depending on warehouse needs, potentially rotating through receiving, order picking, packing, shipping, or inventory departments. Key activities include:
- Unloading trucks and deliveries.
- Sorting merchandise and scanning inventory into warehouse systems.
- Picking store orders and packing boxes.
- Labeling shipments and stacking/wrapping pallets.
- Organizing warehouse inventory and maintaining safety procedures.
