This position is essential to maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and aesthetic appeal of our residential properties. The role involves a comprehensive range of custodial duties across various areas, including rooms, hallways, lobbies, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, and utility spaces like laundry and locker rooms.
The day-to-day work includes cleaning and polishing lighting fixtures, marble surfaces, trim, metalwork, tiles, and woodwork. Floor care involves sweeping, scrubbing, mopping, waxing, and polishing floors and stairways, as well as vacuuming carpets and dusting furniture. Window cleaning covers door panels and sills, while bathroom maintenance includes replenishing supplies. Additional tasks involve emptying wastebaskets, cleaning vacant apartments, and managing waste by removing full compactor bags and disinfecting the compactor room. Seasonal duties include shoveling snow and clearing walkways in winter, alongside general upkeep of garages, basements, and grounds.
A high school diploma or GED is preferred, though one to three months of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience is acceptable. Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.; sponsorship for employment visas is not available at this time.
