About the Role
THOR Solutions is actively seeking a highly motivated Technical Support Management (TSM) System Deficiency Records Management Support Specialist to support the United States Coast Guard (USCG) Offshore Patrol Cutter (OPC) Resident Inspection Office (RIO) in Mobile, AL. This position is associated with an upcoming contract that THOR is pursuing; we are conducting preliminary, "contingent" hiring for roles associated with this contract. The work start is dependent upon THOR being awarded this contract.
In this role, you will serve as a critical liaison between the OPC RIO, the USN Board of Inspection and Survey (INSURV), and shipbuilder personnel. You will provide access, training, and utilization support for the TSM System and Electronic Trial Card (ETC) tool. Your day-to-day involves managing the lifecycle of ship unique data and deficiency records, from creation through closure. You will assist in preparing technical briefings, assessments, audits, and milestone reviews, while utilizing various programs to generate weekly program management and technical metric status reports.
The role requires a blend of office-based data management and field presence. You will maintain a deployable mini-local area network and surge support for sea trials, consisting of twenty laptops and associated network infrastructure to support dockside and at-sea portions of trials. This involves periodic visits to waterfront and shipboard environments, including traversing confined spaces, ladders, and hatches to record deficiencies and assist with pre-screening and screening activities.
