About the Role

Truck Driving Companies are hiring an Over-the-Road (OTR) Truck Driver to transport freight safely and efficiently across long distances, including multi-state routes near you. This position is designed for drivers ready for extended time on the road, requiring strict adherence to safety regulations and the ability to meet scheduled delivery deadlines.

As an OTR driver, you will operate a Class A commercial tractor-trailer in compliance with DOT regulations and company policies. Your primary focus will be transporting freight over long-distance, multi-state routes while ensuring all pickups and deliveries are completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule.

Day in the Life

Your day begins and ends with thorough vehicle inspections. You will perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance. Maintaining accurate electronic logs, mileage records, and delivery documentation is a key part of your daily routine.

Throughout your trip, you will follow all Hours of Service requirements and safety standards. You are responsible for properly securing cargo to prevent damage or loss during transit. Communication is essential; you will communicate regularly with dispatch regarding route status, delays, and delivery updates, and promptly report any accidents, traffic incidents, or mechanical issues.
