Truck Driving Companies are hiring an Over-the-Road (OTR) Truck Driver to transport freight safely and efficiently across long distances, including multi-state routes near you. This position is essential for ensuring that goods reach their destinations on schedule while maintaining the highest standards of safety and compliance.

Day in the Life

As an OTR driver, you will operate a Class A commercial tractor-trailer in compliance with DOT regulations and company policies. Your day involves extended time on the road, navigating multi-state routes, and strictly adhering to safety regulations. You will be responsible for performing pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance. Maintaining accurate electronic logs, mileage records, and delivery documentation is a key part of your daily routine.

Communication is vital to this role. You will communicate regularly with dispatch regarding route status, delays, and delivery updates. You must also promptly report any accidents, traffic incidents, or mechanical issues. A significant portion of your responsibility involves properly securing cargo to prevent damage or loss during transit, ensuring all pickups and deliveries are completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
