About the Role

Truck Driving Companies are hiring an Over-the-Road (OTR) Truck Driver to transport freight safely and efficiently across long distances, including multi-state routes near you. This position is essential for ensuring that goods reach their destinations on schedule while maintaining the highest standards of safety and regulatory compliance.

Day in the Life

As an OTR driver, you will operate a Class A commercial tractor-trailer, navigating extended time on the road and strict adherence to safety regulations. Your day involves performing pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with DOT regulations. You will maintain accurate electronic logs, mileage records, and delivery documentation, following all Hours of Service requirements.

A key part of your role is communicating regularly with dispatch regarding route status, delays, and delivery updates. You will be responsible for properly securing cargo to prevent damage or loss during transit and promptly reporting any accidents, traffic incidents, or mechanical issues. Your goal is to ensure all pickups and deliveries are completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
