About the Role
We are seeking dedicated Over-the-Road (OTR) Truck Drivers to join our team and transport freight safely and efficiently across long distances. This position involves multi-state routes, requiring extended time on the road and strict adherence to safety regulations. As an OTR driver, you will play a critical role in ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining the highest standards of vehicle safety and cargo security.
Day in the Life
Your day begins with thorough pre-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance. Throughout your journey, you will maintain accurate electronic logs, mileage records, and delivery documentation, following all Hours of Service requirements. You will be responsible for properly securing cargo to prevent damage or loss during transit.
Communication is key to your success. You will interact regularly with dispatch to provide updates on route status, delays, and delivery progress. In the event of accidents, traffic incidents, or mechanical issues, you are expected to report them promptly. Your goal is to ensure all pickups and deliveries are completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
Compensation and Benefits
Drivers are compensated based on cents per mile (CPM), percentage of load, or guaranteed weekly pay, with average annual earnings ranging from $60,000 to $90,000+ depending on experience, mileage, and route type. Additional earnings may be available through detention pay, layover pay, safety bonuses, and performance incentives.
