About the Opportunity
Family Dollar is seeking experienced CDL-A drivers to join a dedicated fleet based in St. George, Utah. This role is designed for drivers who want to maintain an active lifestyle while delivering essential goods to communities across the region.
The Role
As a driver on this account, you will operate company-provided tandem-axle sleeper trucks pulling 53' dry van trailers equipped with top-of-the-line automatic transmissions. Your route will cover customer locations throughout Arizona, California, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, Utah, Washington, and Wyoming.
A key aspect of this position involves active engagement with the cargo. Drivers will unload trailers using rollers and will be required to climb in and out of the trailer as needed to ensure efficient delivery and handling of merchandise.
Schedule and Home Time
Drivers can expect a weekly home time schedule featuring a 34-hour reset. The typical workday begins at 6:00 AM and can extend up to 14 hours. While days off vary based on freight demands, they generally fall on weekdays.
Note: Drivers residing in Las Vegas will operate on a different rotation, spending two weeks on the road followed by three days at home.
Compensation and Benefits
This position offers a competitive compensation structure including mileage pay, pay per load, and a Safe & On-Time Mileage Bonus of up to 3% of mileage pay. Drivers receive weekly pay and have access to a comprehensive benefits package, including health benefits, dental, life insurance, AD&D, a Health Savings Account (HSA), Paid Time Off (PTO), and 401(k) participation. Additional perks include bonus incentives and an unlimited cash referral program.
