About the Role
Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking an experienced Travel Telemetry RN to join our network of highly skilled clinicians supporting hospitals and medical centers across the United States. In this role, you will deliver high-quality, patient-centered care to adults requiring continuous cardiac monitoring in step-down, progressive care, and telemetry units. You will play a critical role in assessing and monitoring patients with complex cardiac and medical conditions, interpreting telemetry rhythms, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to promote optimal outcomes.
As a traveler, you will move through various healthcare facilities for time-limited assignments, typically 8–13 weeks in length. This position requires the ability to adapt quickly to new clinical environments, policies, and electronic medical record systems. You will provide clear, compassionate education to patients and caregivers about cardiac monitoring, medications, and discharge instructions, while promoting safety, infection control, and quality standards at all times.

Key Responsibilities
- check_circleProvide direct bedside care to adult telemetry patients in acute care settings
- check_circleAdminister medications, IV therapies, and treatments in accordance with provider orders
- check_circleCollaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to develop individualized care plans
- check_circlePerform focused and comprehensive patient assessments and document findings in the EMR
- check_circleEducate patients and families on cardiac conditions, telemetry procedures, and discharge instructions
- check_circleFollow infection control, safety, and quality standards to ensure evidence-based patient care
- check_circleAdapt quickly to new hospital environments, workflows, and charting systems as assignments change
- check_circleParticipate in handoff reports and maintain clear communication with staff nurses and leadership
- check_circleContinuously monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms to recognize changes in patient condition
Requirements
- verifiedActive, unrestricted RN license in state of practice (or compact license)
- verifiedCurrent Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- verifiedCurrent Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- verifiedTelemetry or cardiac rhythm interpretation competency
- verifiedAbility to obtain additional state licenses as needed for travel assignments
Nice to Have
National certification such as Progressive Care Certified Nurse (PCCN) or Certified Cardiac Telemetry Nurse (CCTN), where applicable
