This is a 13-week travel assignment for a Surgical Technologist in a hospital setting located in Watertown, New York. The role is designed to provide critical support within the operating room, focusing on orthopedic and general procedures.
You will serve as a vital member of the surgical team, scrubbing and assisting in the OR while ensuring a sterile field and proper instrument handling. The position involves preparing and passing surgical instruments, managing instrument counts, and supporting surgeons and the anesthesia team. A key component of this role includes handling robotic (DaVinci) equipment as needed. You will also be responsible for maintaining the cleaning, sterilization, and disinfection of instruments and OR equipment in accordance with policy and safety standards.
Beyond the operating room, you will assist with patient preparation and positioning, monitor sterile technique, and respond to intraoperative changes under RN supervision. The role may also involve precepting or mentoring new staff and contributing to unit workflow and room turnover efficiency. This is a travel–temporary assignment managed by Healthforce Healthcare LLC, requiring adherence to department policies, safety protocols, and documentation requirements.
