Key Responsibilities
- check_circleProvide direct patient care in a PCU/ICU overflow unit with ratios of 2:1 (ICU) and 4–5:1 (PCU)
- check_circlePerform and assist with advanced hemodynamic monitoring and ventilator management
- check_circleAdminister critical care pharmacology including IV sedation, paralytics, and vasopressors
- check_circleManage central lines and assist providers with bedside procedures such as chest tube insertions and intubations
- check_circleConduct bedside shift reports and perform nurse leader rounding as relief charge nurses
- check_circleFloat to other units as required per facility floating policy
Requirements
- verifiedActive RN licensure in good standing
- verifiedMinimum 2 years of Medical ICU experience in a large facility
- verifiedProficiency with hemodynamic monitoring and ventilator management
- verifiedExperience with critical care pharmacology (IV sedation, paralytics, vasopressors)
- verifiedCurrent BLS and ACLS certifications required
- verifiedProficiency with Cerner documentation system
Nice to Have
Experience with Targeted Temperature Management (TTM). Familiarity with lift equipment and advanced ICU-level technology. Strong critical thinking skills with demonstrated ability to work flexibly within a collaborative team environment.
