Lancesoft Inc. is seeking a dedicated Pathologist Assistant to join a team in Nashville, TN. This 13-week contract role is designed to support pathologists in delivering accurate, high-quality clinical outcomes through precise specimen handling and documentation.
In this position, you will perform gross examinations and dissections of surgical pathology specimens, ensuring they are prepared correctly for microscopic evaluation and diagnosis. You will utilize cryostats and gross room equipment to support the workflow, while completing accurate and timely surgical case documentation and reports. The role requires a strong knowledge of surgical pathology procedures and the ability to apply critical thinking and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment.
This is an evening shift position, running from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM, Monday through Friday. The schedule consists of 5 days a week (5x8s) for a duration of 13 weeks, with a start date available as soon as possible.
Candidates must hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Pathologist Assistant studies and possess ASCP certification at the time of submission. A minimum of two years of Pathologist Assistant experience is required, along with a strong command of surgical pathology procedures and gross dissection techniques. Prior travel experience is preferred but not mandatory.
To ensure safety and compliance, a COVID vaccination or an approved exemption is required prior to the start date. Additionally, strict attendance policies apply; excessive time off is not permitted, and all Request to Off (RTO) requests must be submitted upfront. Certification must be on file at the time of submission.
