About the Role
This opportunity is for a Registered Nurse specializing in Telemetry to join a highly motivated team of compassionate and driven healthcare professionals in West Burlington, Iowa. The unit offers a challenging and welcoming environment focused on optimal patient care.
You will be working in an Acute Care Unit (ACU) where patient ratios are currently 1:5 on days and 1:6 on nights. A key aspect of this role involves floating requirements; you will be required to float to non-critical care inpatient units, including the Emergency Department if boarded patients are present. If you possess critical care experience, you may occasionally float to the CCU. The team operates on a rotation that includes the ACU every other weekend.
The unit utilizes the Cerner EMR system. Upon acceptance of the assignment, you will be responsible for self-studying Telemetry strips. A Basic Dysrhythmia test will be administered during your first week, which must be passed to continue working on the Telemetry or Med/Surg units.
Hiring Process
Candidates must have previous Cerner experience. The application process requires the submission of an RN license (Compact accepted), proof of ACLS, BLS, and CERT-NIH Stroke Scale certifications, and two professional references (one must be from a supervisor). Additionally, Social Security Number and Date of Birth must be on file, along with a copy of your driver's license.
