Travel Nurse RN - ICU - Intensive Care Unit

About the Role

Alliance Services, Inc. is seeking a Travel Nurse RN for the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) in Minocqua, Wisconsin. This 13-week assignment focuses on providing critical care to a diverse patient population, ranging from elderly patients with complex cardiac, pulmonary, and neurological conditions to stable pediatric cases.

You will join a 20-bed MS/ICU/IMC unit within a Level 4 trauma facility. The role involves managing varying nurse-to-patient ratios, with specific focus on the ICU (1:2) and IMC (1:4) sections. You will be responsible for titrating complex drips including heparin, insulin, amiodarone, and norepinephrine, as well as monitoring telemetry rhythm strips using the GE ApexPro CH system. The position requires comfort with advanced respiratory equipment such as CPAP, BIPAP, Vapotherm, and Servo U ventilators.

The unit operates on 12-hour day or night shifts with block scheduling available. While the primary focus is the ICU, the role includes in-house floating to the ED, UC, and PACU, as well as interfacility travel to Park Falls and Weston. You will also participate in a 1-3 day orientation covering computer-based and unit-specific training, with Cerner charting experience preferred.
