About the Position
TravelNurseSource is partnering with Cynet Health to recruit a qualified Registered Nurse for an Endoscopy assignment in Rochester, New York. This 13-week contract offers a unique opportunity to work within a specialized GI team, supporting patient care through critical pre-procedure, intra-procedure, and post-procedure phases.
The Role
In this Level 3 RN position, you will serve as a vital link between patients, physicians, and the care team. Your day will involve addressing patient questions, monitoring vital signs, and managing conscious sedation for procedures. You will be responsible for recovering patients from general anesthesia, administering IV drips and necessary medications, and ensuring all documentation, including patient notes and discharge papers, is completed accurately.
Beyond direct patient care, you will prepare instruments and equipment for procedures, assist doctors throughout the endoscopy process, and maintain strict sterilization protocols. This role requires a high level of expertise in telemetry monitoring, rhythm identification, and expert IV insertion to ensure patient safety and procedural efficiency.
