Key Responsibilities
- check_circleProvide independent nursing care within unit requirements and physician orders with minimal supervision
- check_circlePerform or assist with procedures and explain treatments to patients at their level of understanding
- check_circleMonitor, record, and communicate patient condition changes using electronic medical record systems
- check_circleMaintain a safe environment using universal precautions, asepsis, and infection control procedures
- check_circleVerify physician orders and delegate tasks to other health team members in a timely fashion
- check_circleRespond to life-threatening situations following nursing standards, policies, and protocols
- check_circleInitiate patient and family education plans and address discharge needs according to provider prescriptions
- check_circleInitiate and document individualized patient plans of care based on assessments and medical diagnoses
- check_circleAssess, plan, implement, document, and evaluate patient care for Med Surg and eICU patients
- check_circleAdminister medications safely including IV therapy and maintain accuracy to prevent errors
Requirements
- verifiedTwo-year degree in nursing required
- verifiedBSN preferred
- verifiedWisconsin Registered Nursing license
- verifiedBLS certification required or obtained within 1 month of hire
- verifiedACLS certification required or obtained within 6 months of hire
- verifiedIntermediate proficiency with computers
- verifiedAbility to care for Med/Surg and eICU patients

BSN degree. PALS certification.
