We are seeking a dedicated and skilled RN for our Labor and Delivery department in Georgetown, Texas. This 13-week travel contract position is designed for a professional who is passionate about maternal and newborn health. The ideal candidate will play a vital part in ensuring the safety and comfort of patients during labor and delivery, as well as providing essential postpartum care.
In this role, you will manage patient care during labor and delivery, provide education to mothers, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality outcomes. You will utilize specialized equipment such as Alaris Pumps, Giraffe Warmers, and GE Fetal Monitors, while administering medications for inductions and high-risk patient management. Documentation will be maintained in EMR systems including GE Centricity/CPN and Meditech.
The schedule consists of 12-hour night shifts (19:00 - 07:00), totaling 36 hours per week. On-call requirements include CNCs one weekend out of every six weeks; Manager/Director holds all other call dates. Staff RNs are not responsible for call unless already scheduled for a shift and being put on call.
