About the Role

ARMStaffing is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for a travel assignment in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) in Knoxville, Tennessee. This 13-week contract position focuses on delivering high-quality care within a fast-paced critical care environment.

In this role, you will supervise Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, and orientees, with a strong emphasis on patient and employee safety. Your day will involve performing comprehensive nursing assessments within 8 hours of admission, developing individualized care plans, and collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to identify patient and family teaching needs. You will initiate discharge planning from the first day of admission and participate in patient rehabilitation programs.

The position operates on a night shift schedule (18:45 – 07:15), consisting of three 12-hour shifts per week (36 hours total) with every other weekend off. You will be responsible for communicating changes in patient status to ensure continuity of care, ensuring adherence to hospital protocols for safety, and contributing to unit functionality through positive team communication.
