About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Cardiac Cath Lab RN for a 13-week travel assignment in Wailuku, Hawaii. In this role, you will provide specialized care for patients undergoing cardiac catheterization and interventional treatments. You will be an integral part of the cath lab team, working closely with cardiologists to prepare patients for procedures, assist during complex interventions, and monitor immediate post-procedure recovery.
This position requires advanced cardiac care skills and the ability to adapt quickly while maintaining strict safety and regulatory standards. You will operate and monitor hemodynamic equipment, assist with the placement of catheters and stents, and ensure seamless communication among team members, patients, and families. Key Responsibilities
- check_circleAssist physicians during cardiac interventions including placement of catheters, wires, balloons, and stents
- check_circleOperate and monitor hemodynamic equipment while recognizing changes in cardiac rhythms and waveforms
- check_circleMonitor vital signs, ECG, and hemodynamic parameters during cardiac catheterization and interventional procedures
- check_circleAssist in arterial and venous sheath removal using closure devices or manual pressure and transport patients to recovery
- check_circleAdhere to hospital safety protocols, infection control guidelines, and regulatory standards during all procedures
- check_circleConduct patient assessments prior to procedures including reviewing medical history and performing physical exams
- check_circleSupport post-procedure care by monitoring patient recovery and ensuring smooth transitions to next care phases
- check_circleMaintain and troubleshoot cath lab equipment to ensure proper function and adequate stocking for procedures
Requirements
- verifiedOne year's recent experience as a Cath Lab RN
- verifiedValid RN license in compliance with state regulations
- verifiedCurrent BLS (AHA/ARC) Certification
- verifiedCurrent ACLS Certification
