The Trauma Support department is dedicated to ensuring the highest standard of care for critically injured patients. As a Level I Trauma center, our mission is anchored in the rigorous standards set by the American College of Surgeons (ACS). The team operates as a collaborative unit of medical and administrative directors, physicians, nurses, and specialists, all working in unison to champion a service of excellence and optimize patient outcomes across the continuum of care.

Key Responsibilities
- check_circleCoordinate Trauma Program Performance Improvement activities and committee meetings
- check_circleDevelop and evaluate corrective action plans for identified opportunities for improvement
- check_circleConduct concurrent reviews and document findings in the Trauma Registry
- check_circleAnalyze medical records to identify and clarify principal diagnoses and procedures
- check_circleCollaborate with physicians to ensure accurate documentation of severity of illness
- check_circleCreate training materials to improve medical record documentation practices
- check_circleTrack and trend PI indicators and report findings to leadership committees
- check_circleMonitor trauma registry inter-rater reliability and maintain data accuracy
Requirements
- verifiedBachelor's Degree in Nursing
- verified1 year directly related experience
- verifiedRN in NM or as allowed by reciprocal agreement by NM
Nice to Have
Master's Degree, experience in a related discipline, Certified Coding Specialist credential, or Cert Doc Imp Prac/Spec (CDIP or CDIS) or Cert Coding Spec credential.
