About the Role

We are seeking a professional light products transport driver based in Jackson, MI. In this full-time, local position, you will be home daily. Your primary mission is the safe and efficient delivery of petroleum products to regional terminals, refineries, and various other locations.

As a Transport Driver, you will independently follow specified policies, procedures, and standards under the general supervision of local fleet management. You will operate tank trucks or tractor-trailers to transport product in a safe, efficient, and professional manner, adhering to all applicable federal, state, and local laws. Your day involves performing pre-trip and post-trip inspections in alignment with MPC policy and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, ensuring equipment is in good operating condition and ready for the next shift. You will also handle all regulatory and customary paperwork and communicate any safety or environmental concerns according to company procedures.

Hiring Process

Candidates must successfully complete a comprehensive screening process, which includes:

• A satisfactory driving record review and consent to check FMCSA Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse records.
• Required drug and alcohol screenings.
• A DOT physical exam and maintenance of a current medical card.
• A three-year DOT safety background check and a seven-year criminal background check.
• A pre-trip exam and road test to demonstrate proficiency in operating the required equipment.
