About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Traffic Control / TMA Driver to support our District-Wide Signing Operations throughout the Atlanta Metro area. This position plays a critical role in maintaining safe work zones on interstates and state routes during highway sign installation projects.
In this role, you will operate attenuator (crash) trucks to protect crews working on active roadways while setting up and maintaining single-lane and double-lane closures in accordance with traffic control plans. Your day-to-day responsibilities include performing traffic control duties such as cone placement, signage setup, and lane shifts. You will also assist the highway sign crew with the installation and maintenance of roadway signage as needed.
Safety is paramount; you will ensure all work zones meet DOT safety standards and regulations while driving and operating company vehicles safely in high-traffic environments. Effective communication with crew members is essential to maintain safe and efficient operations. Additionally, you will conduct daily vehicle inspections and basic equipment checks. As an integral part of the team, you must be prepared to respond to emergency and after-hours work as required.
